Technology waits for no one
Electronic media publishing is media published through the use of electronic or technology for the audience to access the content. This is in contrast to static media or print media, which today are most often created electronically, but don’t require electronics to be accessed by the end-user in the printed form. The primary electronic media sources familiar to the general public are better known as the Internet, email, multimedia presentations, slide presentations, CD, Flash Disks and other online content publishing mediums. Most new media are in the form of digital media. However, electronic media may be in either analogue or digital format.
Although the term is usually associated with content recorded on a storage
medium, recordings are not required for live broadcasting and online social networking. Any equipment used in the electronic communication process (e.g. television, radio, telephone, desktop computer, game console, handheld device) may also be considered electronic media.
It is through this new way of sharing and collaboration that we offer our expert advice and solutions. Although some vow that print will be around long enough not to worry, it is still a good idea for a printed media to consider having an online presence or channel. That being said, there are a few key facts to keep in mind when handling e-publications, and that’s where we can help.
Portable Document Format
Electronic document distribution is a very popular medium for proofing artwork, sharing information and we found PDF (Portable Document Format) is the best way forward. It is easy to use, portable, simple to make and share, flexible, secure, cross-platform compatible, controlled workflow, perfect to apply or integrate. We use this technology to its fullest extent, from simple conversions to advanced search and indexing.
